The short version: Your PDF files never leave your device. We don't upload, store, or process them on any server. Sign-in is optional and only used for the Android app's premium subscription.

Priodemy ("we", "us", or "our") operates the PDFrio website (pdfrio.priodemy.com) and the PDFrio Android app. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and how we protect your information.

1. Web tools (this website)

All PDF processing on this website happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. We never see your files.

No file uploads. Your PDFs are loaded into your browser's memory and processed locally. They are never transmitted over the network.
No accounts required. You can use every web tool without signing up.
No tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or other tracking on the website.
Verifiable. You can disconnect from the internet after loading the page; the tools still work.

2. Android app

The PDFrio Android app collects the following data when you choose to use specific features:

a) Account information (optional)

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. This is used solely for authentication, displaying your profile, and managing your premium subscription. You can use the app without signing in.

b) Crash & performance data

We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous crash reports and app usage data. This helps us fix bugs and improve stability. This data does not contain personal information about you or your files.

c) Advertising

The free tier of the Android app shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a device advertising ID to serve more relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google settings.

d) AI features

When you use the AI summarize or Q&A features in the Android app, your selected PDF text content is sent to a third-party AI API (Groq) for processing. The AI provider does not retain or train on this data. We do not store these queries or responses on our servers.

3. What we never collect

Your PDF files — Both web and app process files locally on your device.
Camera data — The document scanner runs locally on-device.
Biometric data — We don't request fingerprint or face data.
Contacts, location, calendar, or messages.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Google (Firebase) — Authentication, crash reporting, analytics (Android app only)
Google (AdMob) — Advertising (Android app free tier only)
Groq — AI text processing (only when you use AI features)

5. Data security

All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. The Android app enforces a strict network security configuration that blocks cleartext HTTP traffic. We do not store user files on our own servers.

6. Data retention & deletion

If you have an account (Android app), you can request deletion at any time via our account deletion page. We process deletion requests within 30 days. The website does not require accounts, so there is no account data to delete.

PDFrio is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
